Kids’ Ministries

Children’s Ministries:

To come alongside the family in the spiritual growth of their children through worship, Bible study and activities that in God’s timing will lead a child to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Each nursery and classroom is staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who have committed to teach God’s word to young children in a safe, loving environment. Our teachers are committed to be Christ-centered in devotion and Christ-like in character and conduct, as we know that the Christian life is modeled as well as taught.

Awana – First Baptist Church Paso Robles
AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” which comes from the AWANA key verse, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 NIV
AWANA Clubs meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:15pm
From September – May. Doors open at 6:15pm
We look forward to meeting your child!
Our prayer is that each child will be impacted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and learn the joy of serving Him.
Cubbies is the AWANA Club for preschoolers during the two years prior to regular kindergarten, usually three & four-year-olds. Cubbies is unique because it supports and maintains parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process. Cubbies uses the fundamental AWANA elements of games and activities, Bible memorization, handbooks, and awards.
Cubbies is for potty-trained 3 & 4-year-olds whose parents can commit to remain in the building during AWANA.

Sparks is the AWANA Club for kindergarteners, first-graders, and second-graders. Each club meeting has 3 parts. In Game Time, Sparkies enjoy entertaining games played on the AWANA game circle. During Green Meadow time, Sparkies gather for an age-appropriate Bible lesson. During Sparkle Time, clubbers recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections, and earn awards. Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears throughout the Bible-based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements.

T & T is the AWANA Club for boys and girls in the third through sixth grade. Similar to the structure of the Sparks program, each T & T meeting has 3 parts. During Game Time, clubbers compete in a variety of fun and exciting games on the AWANA game circle. In Handbook Time, clubbers progress though handbook sections that answer fundamental questions about the Christian faith, and back up those answers with selected scripture for memorization. Finally, Council Time allows clubbers the chance to gather together, worship, learn a practical lesson from God’s word, and receive the awards they’ve earned.
