Missions at CCBC

Mission Opportunities

We believe that we learn most about our God, ourselves and our world by participating in the work He has called us to do. It is our continuing prayer that our local Kingdom Outpost, the people of CCBC, will be led by the Holy Spirit to participate in missions in some way for the glory of Christ and for their spiritual growth and blessing.

As an aid to thinking about how Christ-followers can be more involved in mission work we’ve categorized them in three ways: Neighborhood and Workplace Missions, Community Missions, and International Missions. This also helps to make clear how well our joint efforts are balanced across the differing spectrums of the mission field the Lord has placed before us as a church.

Finally, we work to ensure that we are addressing those groups that Scripture seems to teach have a special place in the heart of our Lord. Broadly speaking those groups are the poor, orphans, widows (single moms), prisoners, and the lost.

Our hope is that everyone can (and will) identify, and participate in an area that our Father has given them a heart for and at a level that aids their spiritual growth while challenging their comfort level, at least a little bit. To that end, we continue to work to identify “easy on-ramp” opportunities, as well as, more complex ones.

Supported Missions and Ministries

We believe that Scripture teaches the Lord’s people participate in the advancement of His Kingdom through prayer, action and giving. Corporately Christ Community Baptist Church seeks to be faithful to this mandate by running, participating in, and/or financially partnering with the missions and ministries below.

About Missions at CCBC

The Holy Spirit ordains God’s servants and the work they are to do. Our committee’s task is to cooperate with Him by helping those whom He calls to the work of evangelism.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off. Acts 13:2-3.

VISION STATEMENT

To see our brothers and sisters become so passionate about God’s heart for the lost, and His Great Commission, that we take an active interest in outreach ministries locally, nationally and
globally.

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide ongoing leadership for our entire congregation by serving as a driving force for promoting participation in outreach both here and internationally as is consistent with our church’s resources and strategic objectives.
