Leadership Team & Staff

Coming Soon!
Pastor James Berteig & Family
Christ Community would like to welcome Pastor James Berteig, who will begin as Lead Pastor on November 3.
Phil Yntema
Interim Lead Pastor
I was born in Detroit Michigan by two of the best parents anyone could have. I received most of my theological education before I was twelve, discipled by my own parents by study and example.
I am married to Terry who is much better than I deserve, and we have three wonderful daughters Carrie, Beth and Dawna. We now have nine grandchildren whom we adore.
Pastor Phil has agreed to serve as our Interim Lead Pastor during the next few months while our Pastoral Search Committee works hard to locate a permanent Lead Pastor.

John, along with our amazing Youth Staff, leads our Youth Ministry and has a passion for coming alongside parents and teens in spiritual formation, Bible teaching, and discipleship. He also provides oversight for our Trustee Department which cares for the building and grounds.
John and Sandra are both graduates of Multnomah University, and John is also a graduate of Multnomah Seminary (Master of Divinity), has a Certificate in Biblical Counseling and has done doctoral studies in Pastoral Ministry at Corban University.
